Hello Richard! 

I thoroughly enjoyed being able to listen today via Blues and Roots radio replay.
The first number you played; "No Consequence" from the album To Build a Fire, felt like a darker side of the Blues style and I moved into a part of the sound in that number! So WOW and Thanks.

The second one with John Bickley off the album "Pagan Harvest" "Not In My Name"? possessed a very gutsy, straightforward approach sound to it and after being able to listen to the "story behind the song" I understood completely!

I do hope to be able to listen in to the rest later either through the
"listen again page" or later the week via Blues*and*Roots radio!

As I'm not in today due to my dog being very ill I have my 'Generic Show' going out instead.  It still has some classic tunes in it and some from the 'little well known to the more obscure'  including a rare tune from a CD called 'Songs of the Shepherd Down' by Colin Andrews whom is a marvellous English concertina player from Winkleigh Morris in Dartmoor.

3rd Septemebr 2013 - Part 3+4 of Jon Bickley Interview and the IBBA Album of the Month

Hi all

Another week and another show and its Parts 3 and 4 of the Jon Bickley interview.  Also as I am a member of the Independent Blues Broadcasters Association (IBBA) we have an Album of the Month and for September it is 'Big City Blues' by The Hoax from Wiltshire UK.

It's getting near the end of the dancing season for Morris but there still are some stalwarts out there and there is Swanage Folk Festival this weekend which is a BIG gathering of The Morris including Ring sides, Federation sides, Clog, Step, Rapper and others, so we do have The Morris Round Up for 'all your Morrissing needs!' No 'What's in the Post' this week as I don't have any!  Most likely I'll get too much next week (I hope).  And we do have 'Time For Tom?' although 'Tom Waits for NO Man' its now been 3 weeks in a row that Tom has Waited long enough to get a track in.
