15th October 2013 - Today's Show

Hi all

First of, blimey Mrs O' Reilly I've got the track listings out BEFORE the show, how did I do that I hear you say? (Do I?).  The only reason being is that I was in the studio at the weekend with a carrier bag full of CD's and a memory stick full of Dropbox files of lovely little well-known tunes from the more obscure bands that have yet to get the recognition they deserve.  Or do they want the mainstream music scene of PR, blandness and corporate stifling of musically integrity for capital gain, which more than often the money will go to back to those bland cooperate types (and not the musicians) who then invest it back into cash cows of bland, cooperate.... etc etc and hey presto X Factor is born, the Demon's seed ... arrghhhhh Nurse the screens!!

Rant over..... These tunes needed to get on my track listings system at the studio so in I went and thought - 'hey I'll do this week's show while I'm here, now there's a turn up for the old plus fours.

Although 'little well-known' really defines the area of your musically scope as Catfish Keith and Eric Bibb are on this week's playlist, and Eric is by far a most outstandingly well known artist in the Folk and Blues world.

ARTIST .............................................. TRACK
Catfish Keith ........................................ Sweet Honey Hole
Eric Bibb featuring Solo Cissokho ...... Nanibali
The Hoax ............................................. Can't Do Right for Doing Wrong
Ashleigh Flynn ..................................... A Million Stars
T Belly ................................................. Mr T Belly Blues
Mick West and the Muldoon's Picnic .. Bonnie Susie Cleland
Babajack .............................................. Running Man
Rob Picott ............................................ Mobile Home
Catfish Keith ....................................... Tommi Tommi

A Catfish Keith sandwich of top quality tunes (I believe).  Also I think we have 'What's in the Post?', but I have yet to check the post.  This is what happens when you get too organised, something falls!

Have we got 'Time for Tom?' it's a tough one here as there hasn't been any 'Time for Tom?' for a good three weeks now.  It all depends on the waffle factor of yours truly here.  But if all else fails 'Tommi Tommi' is close enough as we all know 'Tom Waits For No Man'!.

And here are the piccies......
